Agency receives Noble Sculpture

The Blind & Visually Impaired Center of Monterey County, a self-funded nonprofit agency that has provided free services to visually impaired Monterey County residents since 1971, recently received "Beautiful Dreamer," a sculpture from visually impaired artist Chloe Dee Noble.
While undergoing treatment at the UC Medical Center in San Francisco, Noble, who almost lost her life and did lose her vision when she was bitten by a brown recluse spider, was inspired to create the slightly smaller than life-size bust of a sleeping male when she met many young men who were losing their vision due to complications of AIDS.
